Mar-Med was founded over 30 years ago in Grand Rapids, Michigan by Dr. Joseph Marogil who invented the Tourni-Cot digital tourniquet. As a general surgeon with experience in hand cases, Dr. Marogil identified a need and a design for an improved digital tourniquet.
Today
Mar-Med is an FDA registered American medical device manufacturing site certified to ISO 13485. We design and distribute novel, disposable devices for emergency medicine, pediatrics, orthopedic surgery and more to many of the finest healthcare facilities worldwide.


Our Mission
We at Mar-Med seek to create growth and opportunity in our community through the manufacture and distribution of effective medical devices that support efficient procedures and positive patient outcomes as well as a healthy bottom line.

Our Location
Mar-Med was founded and remains in Grand Rapids, Michigan, situated near the growing “Medical Mile” which is host to many other valued healthcare facilities, clinicians and research organizations.
Our Focus on Sustainability

Priority
We are conscientious of sustainability and consider it a privilege to make the world a healthier place.

Composting
Medical devices have labels and label backing paper is organic. We compost that and other office and manufacturing by products.

Recycling
Mar-Med recycles and composts all eligible waste through public and private services.

Reuse
Mar-Med reuses cardboard boxes and scrap paper as much as possible to reduce our footprint.
